The Murrah High Pugilist team went into action in a rather vigorous manner two weeks ago. The video of the debate is posted below.
Sources said a male yute sent some rather uncouth text messages to a freshman girl. Aspiring to be a young lady, the girl defended her honor and told him to knock it off. The young lad was offended at the rejection of his unrequited crudeness and told one of his friends. The friend and her posse went looking for the object of his attention. Tube Top found her and attacked her in a vicious fashion as shown in the series of videos posted below.
The school got wind of the impending attack before class started. The future victim was summoned to the principal's office. The parent was not contacted at that time. She attended class but Tube Top went looking for her in between classes. Believe it or not, the victim is in trouble for leaving class when it was over.

OMG 😳
How terribly uncivilized!
perception of fighting. nothing to see. radical new city
This can't be.
Newsweek magazine named Murrah High School to its 2009 America's Top Public High Schools list. The schools were ranked on the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and/or Cambridge tests taken by all students in a school in 2008 divided by the number of graduating seniors.
Only two schools from Mississippi earned rankings on the 2009 Newsweek list: Murrah High School at 1058 and Oxford High School at 1269. This was the fourth year in a row that Murrah made Newsweek's list.
Hmmmm. Maybe instead of calculating it based on number of AP tests "TAKEN" they should see if anyone actually passed or even got a 5/5 for college credit. Ya think?
Nevertheless, Murrah is a nationally ranked high school and Harvard gave LuMumbler an award.
Jacktopia.
The school tolerates this, the parents tolerate this, and JPS administration tolerates this. The conclusion one has to draw from observation is that all of the participants in the culture of Jackson are satisfied with the situation. If this is the result of their fight for self determination who am I to tell them they are wrong in their chosen direction of self destruction?
Jackson is an absolute hell hole!
No Child Left Behind was the beginning of the end of public education. I'll not send my child to a public school in the metro area.
That was close, for a minute there I thought it would be trouble.
I hope the parents of the girl who got jumped get a lawyer. not Carlos Moore. a real lawyer.
At least tube top girl has a body. Gonna be hell at Babes or Dewerks Larey in a few years.
Why are some of the students not wearing mask? Administrators and teachers are slacking off on the job!
What we have is a vast failure of incorrectly holding their phones while in video mode. Shameful.
Graduation ceremonies today could be a real riot.
This is why NE Jackson goes to JA prep MRA and St. Andrews even st joe or Christ covenant school. I went to Murrah long ago and we nearly had the Beatles play at our prom. Nearly all the rich kids attended murrah it was coined Hederman tech as a nickname.
Frankly, I'm surprised tube tops and skin tight pink spandex pants are allowed in a school.
"unrequited crudeness" is gonna be my new go-to phrase, thanks KF.
Over 3 minutes of that ruckus and no adult shows up?
Very entertaining
At least it was one on one, without knives or guns or clubs.
No tops pulled off. Slackers.
Wow, what we teach our kids! Parents we have to do better in order to get better results. What a darn shame!
It was good to see school personnel right on the scene.lol
Slow news day?
Where were teachers, coaches, principals and security?
I point out that you would never see this type behavior at JA or Prep, and you cull the comment. Why? You interpret that as racist? Pitiful.
Whats the matter KF - don't approve of a comment that points the finger at JPS, and the failure of the State (Governor) to act on MDE recommendation?
That secondary brawl between the girrrrrlllllssss with dreadlocks could have been resolved by tying their hair together.
@1:46
Kingfish is a fruity little bitch.
Do me a favor, KF. Don't speak ill about the Murrah HS Debate Team, even as a joke.
I get what you're saying, but the actual Murrah Debate Team is full of extremely smart, hardworking kids who win tons of state and national awards, often despite coming from less advantaged backgrounds. They're coached by a guy who could literally be anywhere, but chose to stay in Jackson to make this city a better place.
I realize you didn't know, but maybe edit this post just to avoid even the slightest implication those great kids had anything to do with this behavior.
The public supplies "school" so that this stuff occurs "at school" and not out on our streets (as much) while the rest of us are at work.
And some people still think public schooling in Jackson is about educating our youths. So naive.
Fightin' advice for young ladies. Immediately grab a hand full of hair and pull down forcefully, where the head goes the body will follow. You'll have the high ground and better control of the situation. Try to stay off the ground, especially if at a weight disadvantage.
Where did those millions in JPS bond money end up? Lots of greasy palms?
1:48 in the video. Lol
Kingfish, were you clutching your pearls when you posted this? Where did you go to night school? Were there not fights where you went to school? I went to a rural Mississippi public school in the eighties and nineties. We had fights. My wife went to Prep. She tells me that they had fights. I know for a fact that every private school in Jackson deals with fights from time to time. All schools in the metro have drug problems. Tell us what really gets you excited about watching and then posting pictures of minors in fights in schools. I’m guessing you didn’t deal with any fighting growing up or see any either, somehow. Is fighting good? No. Is it that sensational? No. Are we smart enough to see your biases gleefully displayed here? Yes.
The post suggesting the Beatles almost played at a Murrah prom is a dead lie.
6:09 Of course you realize that pictures like these support a certain narrative which most people who support this blog believe. That's how it works. If you went to a more liberal so-called progressive blog the narratives regarding the evils of society would be different and they would present images which support their position. They would undoubtedly show you images of these same kids being abused or subjected to racist treatment. The images are out there, both ways, it all depends on the point you want to make.
Just a moment of truth.
“What have here is………a failuuuuuure to communicate.”
This is so tacky.
School Shootings are such a tragedy... Lots of people want to outlaw certain types of guns.
Some people want to place an armed police officer in schools. I think the idea of armed police in our schools would protect students. We all want safe schools.....
I wonder why anyone would be against having armed police officers in schools to protect from mass shooters...
Could it also be that a police officer, they would also have to respond to fights like this... which would highlight the problems of fights like this in schools?
Which "political party" does not want to have armed security in schools and why are they against it.. It could save lives.
The fight in this video looks pretty violent. I hope that nobody was hurt.
Kingfish, what is the purpose of this post? I must have missed your post about the Murrah seniors who this year are entering Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Stanford, etc. Posts of this sort do nothing but encourage racist rhetoric. If that is your goal, you sadly have succeeded.
Understand the question. The victim was suspended even though it is clear she was only defending herself. Who is more at risk into turning into a powder keg of emotion, the bully who don't give a _____ or the kid who is beaten up, defends herself, and then punished. The fight videos are somewhat funny but they also are used to show their might be a problem at a school. In case you haven't noticed, most of the videos posted aren't just two people going at it but are usually brawls. Brawls show a loss or order and security in the school. We aren't talking about something outside at recess but usually in the school between classes.
I'd post the info about the students doing well on the ACT if JPS sent it to me. Very positive story and deserves to be reported.
The commenters above that are getting butt hurt about posting about Murrah need to get a grip. If they would have bother to read the top would understand why he posted it.
Hope they will be at Andy's Summit on the Fairgrounds.
If this type of behavior wasn't going on in schools, no one could point it out.
The fact that some posters on this board are more concerned by this behavior coming to light, instead of being committed, is far more of a problem than school age kids committing the behavior.
The kids in this, or any, video displaying this behavior will not fix the problem. If the problem is fixed, it will be by adults, not kids, and it will be adults that acknowledge the problem of this behavior, not the revealing of this behavior.
Shame on you if you are more offended by the revealing of the behavior, than by the behavior its self, and double shame if you try to make it a racial issue.

Reading isn't JPS' strong suit as evidenced by the other post.
What I notice is no teachers or administrators trying to stop this fight which was not the case for the Germantown fight posted on this blog earlier.
@10:42
What are you talking about? Not one person mentioned race. Your the racist.
6:09, sounds like the one clutching pearls.
And while virtue signaling to let us all know just how woke you are, did you ever stop to think that this school deserves just as much order and safety as your precious Prep offered you?
Are you saying we should ignore this problem at Murrah and just accept this is how all schools are?
You kind of sound like the racist, bud.
So you’re saying that JPS sent you this video, Kingfish? And that’s why you posted it?
Learn how to read.
We’re reading, Kingfish. We read the text and the subtext.
I’m glad so many have their masks on though. You know. For protection. 🙄
