JPD arrested Credible Messenger John Knight in March for drug possession and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. JJ obtained a copy of the police report through a public records request.
The report states Knight had 48 grams of marijuana, a firearm, and a "clear plastic bag containing a unknown white powder."
Knight is employed at the Henley-Young Youth Detention Center as a counselor and youth director.
The case nor an order binding him over to the grand jury appears in the online court document system. Did the case disappear?

vintage Hinds County-
Uh Oh!!!!
The fix is in.
A convicted felon working in a detention center. What could go wrong?
Systemic Racism
A certain county supervisor dropped a dime and he was quietly released.
I guess since he has a respectable job at a jail, there was certainly no Reason to suspect any thing suspicious about the “powder”.
More likely somebody in Jackson didn’t like him and it was a set up.
a criminal, carrying drugs, as a "youth counselor" at a detention center?
Good background checks from the county's HR department - which I assume is overridden by certain supervisors.
Probably related to the same people that made the case file 'disappear' - but only the shadow knows for sure.
HR: Mr. Mayor, he is a convicted felon.
Chowke: Hire him!
HR: But sir.
Chowke: It's my way or the highway!
HR: Hired.
I mean the pay is so low with the county you probably have to get a 2nd job selling drugs to make ends meet.
King- do you have a standing FOIA request with the various L.E. departments?
Sounds about right. A little trip over to Henley -Young for a "how my tax dollars" trip will open your eyes wide. Notice first just how many cars are in that parking lot. I mean, how many cousins and uncles does it take to run this place ?
Attention Mississippi Legislature

John Christopher Knight is the type of crime recidivist that Chokwe Antar Lumumba requests you fund with state taxpayer dollars to pay for his lofty foundational crime interruption pipe dreams.
A convicted felon with a gun, 48 grams of dope and some other white powder likely to be drugs is the example of hiring decisions made by the Hinds County justice system.
Not.One.Dollar.More.Mississippi. Don't believe anything you hear from Lumumba.
7:23 : Or just do like most others and get a second legal job. It's up to the employees to hold the BOS(part time employees) accountable for their annual raises they give themselves along with 4 wheel drives costing up to 80 grand for themselves and other appointed and kin. Largest county in the state with the lowest pay. Figure that one.
Judge Hicks is truly been a big disappointment. She had a escape last night, and all the staff has quit. Her and Marshand has fallen out, and it's only the beginning of her ties to Antar's non profit game. Knight, Holmes and Rikia Lumumba connection to supply youth with drugs.
11:25 : Staff quit and then they re-hired kinfolk. As I said...the parking lot is full and the cars don't belong to dah yoots.
