This is a horrible no good terrible situation. However, this screams of postpartum psychosis, possibly mixed with some drug use. From what all I have gathered from various posts and comments on FB, she had a history of drug use, had a one year old, I don't think a father figure was around, and other than a grandparent, I don't think she had a support system. Postpartum depression/psychosis is a real thing. I am in no way taking up for the lady, but I am saying many of us are extremely lucky to the have the support system of family that we can lean on in times of need. We need to show a little compassion. I don't think any "sane" mother in the world would intentionally kill her baby. I believe she may have made some bad decisions and having 2 babies that close together knowing she probably couldn't care for them correctly points to that. There are many people around many of you that have had some sort of postpartum issue that you probably don't know about because they had a support system to help them out of it, be it financial means or family members who could help out. I say look at the whole picture. Yes it's probably a culmination of bad decisions that most likely led to this but it's still a horrible situation for mother and child.

Is this really any different than legalizing abortion up until the point of birth? It is very sad all around.

The reason why our justice system worked is that actions had consequences. Seriously, sure she and many others need mental health help, which really only goes so far. But, humans are going to do stupid human stuff no matter what. We have to hold people accountable for their actions and do it publically so others can see the consequences. Publically doesn't mean the death penalty, it means knowing that if X crime happens our LEOs and justice departments will do their part. This woke justice is killing America. Add to that the education model teaching "me first" and "equity" over core subjects and you get this POS. You can respect human dignity while having accountable consequences at the same time.

I never had children.
I didn't have a stable nuclear family to offer and I was not raised in the best environment myself, so I made a choice to not procreate.

Wasn't sure I was cut out for it, or that I would be prepared to teach a child proper morals etc.

It has always seemed so selfish and short sighted for people who cannot afford nor have any intent of being a good parent to even have kids.

If more people took the job of parenting seriously we would be so much better off as a society. This women should have NEVER had kids.

Looks like she hasnt slept since that horrible day or maybe coming down off drugs . dont know which. This is still too hard to believe.

There are hundreds if not thousands of young hard working couples in this state that ache for children and for what ever reason cannot have children of their own. Any one of them would have taken this females children as their own, given them a loving stable home and raised them well.

A higher entity will judge her.

Has the grand jury indicted her, yet? Or, have there been any new developments? I haven't been able to find any, so I thought I'd ask here.
