Convicted pimp Steve Hutton is going home. The former Director of the Mississippi State Fairgrounds pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution in Madison County Circuit Court in August.
MBI arrested Hutton in April 2020 for promoting prostitution.
Circuit Judge Dewey Arthur sentenced Hutton to serve ten years in prison but suspended seven years of the sentence and ordered him to serve two years in the intensive supervision program.
The MDOC website states he still resides at SCMI.
However, MDOC notified Judge Arthur on February 22 that Hutton will be released today.

Maybe Hinds County can hire him to help out in some way. Seems perfect.
Give him one of those cool hats, a fur coat, some gold chains, and a pink suit and he's ready to hit the streets again. The Mack of Rankin County.
Probably. wise decision. More & more detention residents of non-assault type convictions need to be released.
He is our local Jeffrey Epstein. No telling how many other unelected officials were his clients. He kept his mouth shut so he is still alive.
10:23 : And as a felon will likely have to once again break the law to feed himself. What was his skill set before he was appointed ? Before he became a pimp.
How much time did he serve? 7 months?
well, you can tell by his photo he wasn't serving 10 years..
Attn 11:41 AM It doesn’t matter how much time he served. He is and will continually be paying
For these crimes. Life as he knew it is over.
11:34, That makes logical sense, but I think the simpler explanation is that most felons commit/committed crimes because they are criminals, not out of necessity.
They have criminal minds, and criminal characters. Unless they change at a deep level, they will continue to commit crimes because they are criminals.
1:22 : Thus the reason they should just be kept fed and locked up. Meh, I hope he at least tries to do right until he can get hired on as a County Coordinator somewhere.
He will use this as another attempt to go speak to churches. His past attempts failed because they were not juicy enough! Watch for it! He used to line up speaking engagements for guys that spoke to men groups at churches. He always wanted that stage.
@3:37 is so correct! That’s how Madison rolls. Pity story at Wednesday night prayer meeting makes for large crowds and a lot of likes on the church’s Instagram page. It’s six flags over ______ (insert one of the Baptist churches’ name). Coming soon!
Society will pay the price for allowing his release..and we know it. He’s a con artist and those that truly know him know it!
By the way, how is his book selling?
3:37 - Welp, he damned sure wasn't speaking to 'men's groups' when he was working with young waifs and recruiting them into the life of being whores.
Tell me one more time how to order his book about raising a religious family in the central Mississippi area
Pimpin' ain't easy.
I find it interesting that he was released a week before his first grandchild was to be born…but I speculate!
He would make a good fit on the Jackson city council!
@3:37 & 5:06. You're both almost there. Just connect the dots.
Offense: Pimping.
He’s just out there like the Top Dog Album: Slam Dunk’n Hoes.
I hate to see his (innocent) family brought into this - Especially a grand-child.
I won't waste my time or yours saying 'the man needs help'. When you reach this point, you're beyond help. What he needs is to be watched and avoided. Hopefully he leaves the state immediately.
"non-assault type convictions"
Hey 10:23... thought for a minute you might mean 'victimless crimes'. This clown would be far less dangerous to society had he simply assaulted people.
You jerks who advocate the flinging-open of cell doors sicken me.
Wonder if Andy will hire him back to tote his cowboy hat?
I still don't know what he was doing? What specifically was he doing to be convicted? Was he pimping out the girls staying in his house for profit or what? Nobody seems to know.
I heard backpage is making a comeback too
9:59 - How often do you awaken, Rumple Stiltskin?
Pay attention! He was Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Baaker without being ordained.
Should have known he wouldn't serve a long time. It's called white privilege. Maybe we'll see him at the golf course working again. City government is crooked anyway.
Steve has been a wolf in sheep’s clothing for years, will not change. Right on @5:39AM! I Agree, Hope Broadmoor stops promoting him and doesn’t hire him.Jone, it is NOT admirable to keep standing by your man!
