The Democratic Trust of Mississippi sent the following press release to JJ:
November 17, 2012
To the Editor:
Commissioner
Mike Chaney and the members of the health insurance exchange advisory
board deserve credit for their work in establishing an online insurance
marketplace for Mississippi families. This exchange will
serve an important function in helping Mississippians obtain insurance
coverage where such coverage is not available through an employer,
Medicare or Medicaid.
While
Commissioner Chaney and I have not always seen eye to eye on the
specific terms of an exchange, we agree that a plan drafted by
Mississippians and tailored to the specific healthcare needs of
Mississippians is far better than a one-size-fits-all federal plan.
I
applaud the Commissioner for foresight and leadership in moving forward
with a healthcare exchange and believe all Mississippians, Democrat and
Republican alike, should work together to help create the best plan for
our state.
Respectfully,
Brandon Jones
Executive Director, Mississippi Democratic Trust

When your enemies thank you, you've done something wrong.
What did you want Chaney to do - let Obama come in here and do it? Now Cowboy Phil wants the FEDS to come in here and have control of it! What do you think Ronnie Musgrove has been doing the last four years - he's been working on OBABMACARE and the FEDS! I can just see it now - Musgrove as the Health Czar for Mississippi! Thanks Phil and the Teaparty Horse you rode in on! Governor Reeves sounds better every day!
Bryant will go down in history as the "side stepping" governor. He talks a good game but will not stand up for the important issues that affect Mississippi such as Obamacare! But, hey, what do you expect; he's a politician who has never held a "real" job! He has risen to his level of incompetence by talking out of both sides of his mouth. This issue is no exception - you can expect more of the same for the next three years. Even through I do vote Republican, I take no blame or credit for him. I knew his track record too well to support or cast my vote for him!
1:20, when the voters shut you down and the future doesn't look any better for your party - it might pay off to be reasonable.
8:34; Define 'real job'. Like him or not, his resume doesn't agree with your assessment.
The very notion that either political party is the " enemy" is offensive and has proven dysfunctional.
The American people are overwhelmingly, in every poll, sick of " gridlock" which has it's origin in this " us vs them" mentality that forgets we are all Americans and in this sinking ship together,
Some seem to want to argue about how to bail out the water rather than work together to get the water out of the ship!
Both parties played fast and loose with the facts in the past election and created division where none should exist.
It is way past time to stop this foolishness. Already, thanks to gridlock causing our rating to drop we are paying more interest and increasing the debt as a result.
Most of the angry voices haven't informed themselves worth a damn and come across as either gullible fools or con artists.
To both parties, grow up, shut up if you haven't studied the issue, and get some manners.
I agree mansplainers! I know I'm always polite and speak with facts, although they are talking points taken from the Socialist Party of America.
To 4:50
You can put anything on a resume'! And "real job" is defined as a career other than eating from the public trough!
