Why would Kimberly Miller plead guilty and serve time and not turn these guys in? Why did she take the wrap for them? Seems like she should have tried to save herself. They hopeful will be in jail soon, if not for this, something else.

Not being a lawyer...what happens now? the hearing on motion in two weeks? Is there criminal charges? is the forging of architect drawings apart of the Travelers deal?

The Frazier boys and stepbrother are going to have it rough in prison. They couldn't beat themelves out of a wet paper sack. They have baby soft hands and have never done any physical labor. The prison jump suits are going to definately cramp their style.

CE Frazier was Nan Copeland's first husband . Clairborne and Austin are their sons. Spencer Copeland is the son of Nan's second husband ( George). Clairborne and Austin primarily lived with Nan and George Copeland. Spencer and his sibling primarily lived with their mother.
There are other children and former spouses who are good and honorable people and who have been personally damaged,hurt and/or embarrassed by those they loved but couldn't help or control.
To suggest that the entire families are corrupt is unfair. But, it would be fair to say that the circumstances of Nan and CE's divorce had negative consequences for three of the children they had with their first spouses.

As I understand it, the Copelands and Fraziers were best friends at least before Mr. Copeland married Mrs. Frazier.

It's time to pay the piper. The Frazier's have a long line of debt that will never be paid. They only can function on the richer side of life. They will never be able to handle the normal or poor side of life. I can't believe it lasted this long and people put up with their shenanigans.

If they were, there would have already been indictments handed down...I have heard absolutely nothing that would indicate there are any coming either. They will simply get through the bankruptcy courts with some of the debts discharged and some deemed non-dischargeable...to the tune of about $5 million...you know kinda like Austin already agreed to. The way I hear it, life isn't so bad in the state of Florida for Claiborne...and Austin I assume is right here in Jackson still.

I see your point, but if you read the Travelers Complaint vs. this group, and assuming the facts alleged in that Complaint are even partially true, then how could charges NOT be filed? If even partially true, it was about the dumbest, most ham-fisted scheme I have ever heard of.

Also: having a non-dischargeable $5million judgment against you is a very serious problem. Everything that person ever owns, obtains, makes or inherits will be subject to the $5 mil judgment plus interest and costs of enforcing it.

Most likely with the size of the fraud, they have a substantial amount of $$$ "rat-holed"....as someone else pointed out, they sure don't seem to be missing any meals....and the way I understand it they haven't missed a social beat either. No jobby job either that I've heard of...

Braddock made money by placing newspaper ads for potential clients seeking to sue drug manufacturers whenever the latest drug was exposed as allegedly defective. He then gave those cases over to people who knew how to litigate them and sat back and earned a percentage by merely signing up clients. That may make him smart but I still bet his IQ is under 80.

Just to be clear all investments involve risk. Prudent investors do research. You don't invest with friends or aquaintances just for the fact that they talk a good game. There are investments that go south everyday. The fraziers did not steal money they just used the money about as poorly as u can. And the way the went about hiding it and cashing in assets were some of the dumbest practices I have ever seen. Those absurd practiced ought to get leniency from a judge for stupidity. Documents were forged with the banks for them (the Fraziers) to get the money, however, for many the money never made it into pockets of the people who had actualy done the work. Like the condos, "the owners" paid the Fraizers for the unit, but the bank never saw a dime! I would not call that a bad investment that just went south.

That is exactly the reason this is such a hot topic. It was theivery and they belong in jail. That so many people were victims and so many other people now about it...and since law enforcement knows aboout it...is why this is the most followed topic that JJ has every had.

It is truly sad that our DA's and AG and Feds have let this go unaddressed.

How come anyone doesn't talk shit about C.E. his name was on most of all the debt too and how does he continue to afford his million dollar condo at Grand Harbor in Destin. I'm sure Austin lives there now rent free.

How much you wanna bet you will see Austin and Claiborne on a 200+k boat this summer at Billy Bowlegs? Their grandmother is filthy rich and will continue to support there needs. They will never change and that is a guarantee you can bank on it.

Just finally got around to reading all of this...because most of it is mean and gossip...but you should really be ashamed of what has been said about Spencer. It is unnecessary and just plain mean. I don't know who is innocent and who is guilty- it isn't up to me or any of you either- but stay above the line and not comment on people's weight. It holds zero merit to this post. Now, as most people know I have no problem debating or stating my opinions or even going as far as getting under people's skin...but I like to keep it clean. Leave the weight jokes to the high school kids. Comments like that truly do scar people and it is really unnecessary.

How do the laws in Florida favor them?

Bankrupcy law in Fl has a few loop holes. For example, your primary residence is exempt from Bankrupcy. It is not uncommon for people to own houses at $10 Million plus with no mortgage to have their residences exempt from creditors in bankrupcy. Boats can be considered primary residences.I don't know where the Frazier's legal primary residence is.

Busy working because I am a tax payer, a viable citizen that votes, and a person that pays my bills in order to have luxuries as you speak of above. A shame that several members of the Copeland/Frazier family have tarnished the whole crew. I grew up with part of this family and can't in good faith follow this saga without commenting on how lovely the "other" side of this family is...especially the Grandmother.
