I don't see McDaniel winning against Hosemann.

Taking down Hosemann will be sweet.

Anonymous said...

Hoseman gets Lt. Gov. and McDaniels gets out of congress.

Win-win

Anonymous said...

Gonna be a long, hot summer for the Delbert folks.

Anonymous said...

McDaniels doesn’t stand a chance IMO

Delbert has done a great job. his weakness is he's starting to look "Biden-esque". He looks tired. Hope he's up for the campaign trail. I'd say unless he finds some energy, it will be a good race. Can McDaniel win? Yes, but that's a tall order.

Anonymous said...

Any chance they could both lose?

Anonymous said...

Well everyone knew McDaniel was going to run against someone, it was a matter of who's card he drew.

Poor Delbert

Hoseman is who Haley wants in there, and Hoseman will stay in there. Haley's campaign cash and influence will flow to Hoseman. McDaniel is just running to fill his coffers with as much money as he can raise. On these statewide races, it can pay to be the loser.

Hosemann running on tax cuts? The one key person who has been fighting tax cuts is now running on tax cuts? Do I have that right? Is he onboard with Gunn and Reeves now?

Hey Casey Phillips - after Senator McDaniel ties Gilbert to Senator Wicker and Joe Biden/Davos/Klause Barbie you just have a race on your hands. Gilbert is a Democrat at heart and yearns for seat at the uniparty table.

Mcdaniels is a legend is his own mind. Nary a prayer.

Anonymous said...

Let me borrow some of that PPP money, Chris.

Anonymous said...

Oh good. Chris "Shawn O'Hara" McDaniel thinks the fourth time is the charm. Can he even find the Capital on a map? He's not a fan of actually showing up as a Senator.

Anonymous said...

The open secret in Jackson is that Hosemann is aliberal democrat masquerading as a republucan. McDaniel is much more representative of what republican voters in the state believe. Delbert represents the donor class.

Anonymous said...

McDaniel had his one chance to sneak in a shock the world. Rocky II does not happen in real life.

Anonymous said...

There's ultra-liberal, liberal, moderate, conservative, ultra-conservative then there's McDaniel, What do you call that?

Anonymous said...

I will NOT vote for Hosemann.

Delbert needs to push to reinstate a legal ballot inititiave. He does this and/or legalize marijuana, he wins any and all elections. He could even beat Tate.

Not a bad career for a washed up morning radio talk show host on WJNT.

McDaniel speaks of Reagan, and tries to quote him regularly - but he fails to remember some of Reagan's most important and repeated quotes.

The 13th Commandmant - Don't speak ill of another Republican (basically Reagan was saying to run on your own merits, not to speak down your opponent)

and, most immportant but something Chris and his crowd refuse to hear, learn or accept --

"Your 80% friend is not your 20% enemy."

Reagan accomplished lot while having to work with a Democrat controlled House , because he understood you don't get everything you want and don't allow those on the other side to get anything. And Reagan was making that argument with Democrats and working with a wide swath of Republicans with differing philosophy and constitutencies.

Chris (and his few adherants) believe that his way is the only way; everybody else must cowtow to him and his beliefs. It would be very interesting should he be Delbert to see how he would govern sitting in the LG chair - trying to lead a Senate of 52 individual members. Don't think that will come to pass, but it should sharply increase "popcorn" prices.

Delbert wins. And McDaniel leaves the capital. It's all good.

I don’t even align politically with McDaniel and I’d got for him to get Hosemann out. He’s a two-timing liar who needs a rocking chair not another term. Hosemann can bring dems into the primary! Let’s see where his true support is.

Anonymous said...

2:12 Hi Chris.

Chris is all about Chris. What an opportunist! MS Legislator, wanted to be promoted to U.S. Senator. Hated Tate and was going to run against him - polls obviously told him to forget that, so he claims they've made up. Turned his hate towards Delbert but wasn't sure if he'd run against him, but that he would be running for "something."
He is an extremist and totally ineffective in getting anything passed.

Some of you and McDaniel are so damn stupid. How many black folks are going to vote for McDaniel. Right. Nada. Now do you right wing Bozos really think your egomaniac will get 80% of the white vote?LMAO.Dumbasses. Hosemann will wipe the floor with that bigot.

The Guest-Cassidy runoff primary last year should have taught Chris McDaniel that he has no chance.

Anonymous said...

Remember, the senate sets the rules/power of the Lt Guv. Let’s say he makes it in, he ll have to drop some of the BS stuff or be stripped of his power.

Anonymous said...

I am no fan of McDaniel but I will be for him. Delbert has to go

Anonymous said...

Geez, Mc is out polling the Hose.

I’m a former state employee that swam in the executive pond of a large state agency before going to the private sector. I really like Delbert as a person. He’s probably one of the smartest men in MS politics but make no mistake, he’s a liberal. Everybody on the inside knows it. McDaniel concerns me some but I could be swayed to vote for him. He’d have to really impress me though with a clear, intelligent platform and not do as he has in the past and just sling mud. I’ve always been weary of mud slingers. They usually sling it to cover up their own dirt.

Anonymous said...

Choice between two narcissistic politicians. I’ll probably vote for McDaniel. He’ll be easier to replace later. Hosemann has to go.

Anonymous said...

Hey Delbert -

Maybe you should consider retirement or a career change. We remember what you did/voted on these last few years-
and do not want a repeat.....we remember.

Anonymous said...

It's really easy to pick out the poster who misspells McDaniel's name three times. At least the posts were during the normal, albeit extended, state lunch-hour: 11:58, 12:12, 1:17.

Anonymous said...

If McDaniel were running the show in 2020, we wouldn’t have locked down during the Plandemic or changed to that sissy flag. He’s got my vote!

Anonymous said...

Easy to spot a McDaniel supporter - look for the tinfoil hat.

Former Republican said...

That circus McDaniel ran after the last election was just a practice run for the BIG LIE that Trump tried to use to install himself and destroy the country. Never voting for him or any of the Pentecostal preacher lookalikes the GOP is so fond of again. More importantly, I don't understand how people who claim to be Christians can hate their fellow American so much.

"But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it."

I don't know much about God, but I know he ain't no Republican.

Unfortunately McDaniels seems to think that his close election against Thad was because people wanted him however it was more of an anti incumbent, anti Thad sentiment that made that a close race. McDaniel will be fortunate to get a third of the vote against hoseman.

Anonymous said...

A vote for McDaniel is a vote against.... well, just against

Anonymous said...

So God is Pro-Choice according to 9:10?

Anonymous said...

9:28 shares my views. I don't think I can vote for that lunatic McDaniel (or Trump for that matter) and I think the word RINO is insanely over used.

But Delbert might be the posterchild for it.

I guess my vote it TBD.

Anonymous said...

This done fired up them little dilbert bootlickers. I not a fan McD but I’ll vote for him all day over hosemann. What goes round comes round. Remember the flag

Anonymous said...

1:01, thanks. I do remember the flag and will vote for Hosemann!!
People like you have ruined my party.

Anonymous said...

Funny, the vast majority of white republicans I talk to have pretty much forgotten the flag. And I'm glad of it.

The 1950's and 1960's old guard is quickly dying out. Finally. I hope McDaniel builds his entire platform around the flag. He can die out with them.

Anonymous said...

@2:28 I was born in the 90’s and will not vote for the old fella. Hose needs to go ahead and put a D by his name.

Anonymous said...

If you were born in the 90s, you very likely do not vote. Most of your peers don't.

Much more likely you are lying.

As a local Jones County citizen we are grateful he has chosen to remove himself from representing our area. We all hope that the State wises up and runs him out of politics altogether. He is a terrific radio host and gas lighter for the uneducated experts of today, but his personal ethics are horrible and he has been living outside his district for years now. I realize this isn’t a priority on the legislative level but he has had the luxury of being voted into the office while hiding in his mother’s basement making Facebook posts. The man is an enigma and has never seen in the community many Jones County citizens put on an event similar to what he attends in DeSoto county locally and he was a last-minute cancel. I was raised by a republican family that taught me to get along with everyone in order to make the most out of life. McDaniel inspires crazies to break into nursing homes. He is as extreme and as dangerous for this State as the extreme left has been in other areas in burning buildings as a protest right. I pray everyone puts him to pasture In hopefully his final race ever.

@7:14
Lmao whatever dude. You are fit to carry McDaniel’s jockstrap.
You probably formulate all of your opinions based on the mainstream(((media))) too

Anonymous said...

10:42, man you really got him. Amazing jab you got in.

Anonymous said...

7:14 I live in Jones County as well, and I'm also frustrated by his failure to use his local seat to help us or the State really. Also, the whole thing about not living in his district.

Don Drane said...

There are TWO Hoseman threads on this blog to which Kingfish will allow no post. If they're paid commercials, state it. If not, why allow no comments in an obvious suck-up to Hoseman?

We all know Hoseman appears 24/7/365 over on the right side of this page, but...damn.

Kingfish said...

Why don't you read the actual posts instead of reading the headlines, knucklehead. The disclaimers were posted.

Anonymous said...

6:47. Because Drane is a Delta smartass (5:20) that gets off as an old man trolling web pages.

Anonymous said...

Disclaimers aside, Mr. Fish. Why continually post threads that allow no comment. So, you're in the bag for the HOSE and against Chris. That's fine. Just not appropriate for a so-called news outlet.

Who bothers to read threads for which no rebuttal is allowed?

6:47 - He does have the balls to post his name. You?

Anonymous said...

8:41:

I'm sure that if McDaniel wanted to advertise here, KF would gladly take his money and provide the same level of service provided to Hosemann.

I swear, reading comprehension and critical thinking skills are lost on many here.

Kingfish said...

It is up to the sponsors whether comments are allowed are not.

I think I know what he commented is. He's just mad because he was called out for being too lazy to read the whole post and see the disclaimer. Not my problem. He's known for his tantrums.

Anonymous said...

McDaniel turns my stomach. He is a liar who will try to do anything to get elected. Then he stands up with that Bucky Beaver smile and talks about ethics and campaign finance reform, and doesn’t seem to practice what he preaches! He’s disgusting.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
