FOOD FIGHT!!!

Senator compares Rep's removal to "jogging in a neighborhood."

One of our favorite Senators, Barbara Blackmon (D-Castro's Home) raised some hell last week on the floor of the Senate.  Never at a loss for words, the good Senator surpassed herself with this rather colorful performance.  Watch Senator Blackmon and Senator Bryce Wiggins (R-Bubba Gump Shrimp) tie it up in the video posted below.

Senator Blackmon posted on Facebook:

I spoke today in the Mississippi State Senate regarding an incident which occurred on the Senate floor. Please watch the entire video because I want you to see what Senator Brice Wiggins had to say about Representative Omeria Scott and my response to him. This was provided by the Mississippi College School of Law that records all Senate Floor action. They apologized for the quality because something has gone wrong with the Senate equipment on the Senate floor since yesterday.
The Street Committee says that Representative Omeria Scott (D- LaLa Land) sat in the balcony late one night while the Senate took care of business on $300 million in aid for Mississippi businesses suffering during the pandemic.  It was hard to recognize the Representative because she wore a mask and big ole sunglasses.  She apparently was texting the Senator and waving her arms in a fashion that could be described as bigly.  Senator Bryce Wiggins directed the Sergeant at Arms to remove her.  He said he did not know it was the good Representative.

The goal of the exercise was to get the Canton Senator to slow down the legislation by preventing what would have been a unanimous vote.

I couldn’t even finish watching that, our state government is comical at best

Holy hell, that woman skreeches.

I wudden watch a video of Blackmon if she was promising me the nightly proceeds from a Canton dog fight.

Anonymous said...

Is this an example of why the Governor needs to control monies coming from federal government as a result of the virus?

Anonymous said...

She is CERTIFIED, CRAZY!

Anonymous said...

So what would the reasoning be they would want a non-unanimous vote?

Also, should Senator Wiggins be found wearing a mask jogging through parts of Canton, Lexington or other parts of Blackmon's district, he might very well be shot, or at the minimum mugged. Good try trying to call everyone a racist for what those rednecks in Georgia did.

I couldn't quite hear what she was saying.
Please ask her to speak up the next time.

Listening to the Senator from Canton, who may have said degrees, according to her own account, but my goodness she sounds ignorant in her rant. She not smart. She sounds unhinged.

Didn't she make some stupid crazy assertions on election night when she ran for Lt Gov?

WTF is she even talking about St. Andrews at the end? I like how she talks about she represents the Po Folks but then throws her accolades and education and her kids going to St. Andrews around. Also, I went online and looked and about 6 clicks in(not on the fornt page) I found the tuition refund insurance she talks about.

Per the link: WITHDRAWAL FOR OTHER THAN MEDICAL REASONS
(Examples include: moves, change of objective, financial hardship and voluntary withdrawals.) • The Plan will pay 50% of the unused yearly insured fees provided the student has withdrawn from school after attending more than fourteen consecutive calendar days beginning with the student’s first class day of attendance in the academic year."

So if you have to withdraw, say a 10th grader, up to half of the unused tuition($20,000 annually, so $10k max), would be refunded if you pay the insurance rate of $601.

All that hoopla, and 99% of the people sending their children to St Andrews aren't worried about pang $600 for the chance they may lose $10k. But that was a great detraction from the real issue.

With all of her resume that she spouted off, I cannot understand how it has failed to allude the esteemed Senator from Canton that her attempted arguments do not get any better when she raised her voice.

I'm left with the question: What the hell does any of what she is saying have anything to do with the State's business (other than the fact that she didn't like the sergeant at arms approaching an unidentified person in the chamber gallery apparently waiving her hands in the air)?

Anonymous said...

isn’t this the same woman who is totally against legislation making dog fighting a crime?

Anonymous said...

at -13;20...she uses the word ''driplet''.............is that a word?

That's just a typical old school Democrat playbook page. (fourth and long. . . down by 21. . . with two minutes left in the fourth quarter) .

Sad thing, none of these Democratic leaders realize their actions have ruined many of their own small business donors..

Those businesses ain't coming back.

I thought about explaining the very basic and simple principals of Economics, but I doubt Senator Blackmon and her "squad" would have a clue.

To quote Mister Rogers:

"Can you say community ripple effect ?

Sure . . . I knew you could" !

Boy, I would love to have seen her concession speech to FORMER Lt Gov Amy Tuck...if it ever happened!

Fun times in today's Mississippi Senate. For those that don't watch the daily rants of a few of these idiots (err, sorry - representatives of their peeps) this is not totally uncommon. Especially from many of the elected representatives of the peoples from Madison County (are you listening, Kenny Wayne)

As to 4:34's question - the need for a unanimous vote was to suspend the rules and allow a vote at that time. Without a unanimous consent resolution, passing this bill would be delayed - which was Rep Omeria Scott's desire and intention. (If you could understand Ms. Blackmon, somewhere in the middle of her telling us of all her degrees, and that her children are all enrolled at St Andrews, she did say something about why Rep Scott wanted it delayed - they didn't like the definition of "minority". Evidently they wanted "minority" to be black, female, Canton [not Madison] and Laurel [not Jones] folks - or maybe undocumented).

Yes 4:42 - back a couple of decades ago when she ran for Lite Governor against Amy Tuck and her truck, Ms. Blackmon was well behind in the votes required to win an honest election (I'm sure she was used to Madison County elections where having the most LEGAL votes is not a requirement) and she told her supporters that were at her lavish 'victory party' that she had been told by God that when they all woke up in the morning, she would be the winner.

Evidently, in telling her supporters this information, she forget or was unable to tell God that he was supposed to take care of stuffing those ballot boxes around the state.

Or maybe, she didn't realize that at that point in time, Democratic primaries were only stolen in a few local counties - not nearly enough to change the statewide numbers.

So she is wearing sunglasses, at night, a mask and no legislators pin but expects everyone to know who she is. LOL note to said legislator, wearing sunglasses at night doesn’t make you famous. 😎

Told his ass where to put it, we need more people willing to stand their ground.

Anonymous said...

I can't believe I actually watched that video twice.

I was honestly trying my best to understand Senator Blackmon's message.

But that was an exercise in futility

( She was ranting and raving about things that didn't make one bit of sense ).

But that's a typical response from Canton, Mississippi "perceived royalty".

I now completely understand why Tate was hesitant to give control of such much money to that legislative "body".

Can’t we just get along, dang I don’t give a rats ass about infighting. Do your freeking jobs!

Anonymous said...

The Governor definitely needs to control the dispersal of the federal money.

I seems to me that at some time in Oxford or Manhattan she would have learned to speak clearly.

Anonymous said...

The Mississippi Senate has certainly deteriorated.

“Fricking” not exactly appropriate language to be used in a supposedly dignified setting that prides itself in classical decorum.
Excuse me, but it is really hard to understand her dialect & enunciation. Did she say she had a relative that attended St. Andrews for 18 years?

She nothing but a joke said...

Blackmon is Rude, Obnoxious, Racist, Arrogant and unfit to hold a public office. She should be reprimanded for her performance and waste of time.

Good ol’ Missippi’. 50!

Big Barbara needs to push away from the Buffett it appears.
Baby got BACK....:)

Anonymous said...

For some reason, everyone is afraid of the Blackmons. They are drunk on power and money and could not care less about the people of Canton. They live in Jackson, not in Canton and therefore do not qualify to occupy their seats in the legislature. Yet no one does anything about it. They controlled the former AG.

Jerry Clower said...

Clearly this woman is educated beyond her intelligence.

Anonymous said...

I think she might confusing droplet and driblet to get driplet.
That’s about all I can figure out what she is saying and what relevance any of it has to getting monies to desperate businesses.
This is embarrassing. She seems to know that kids at St. Andrews are watching ostensibly to learn about the legislative process and decorum. Great lesson.

Anonymous said...

Most of all she is a racist

Anonymous said...

Barbara is smarter than all of you combined.

Anonymous said...

A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Anonymous said...

Give em hell Barb!

Since she is a MS Senator, I think I will take the advice of the Ole Miss Professor James Thomas if I see her and her husband out to eat "Don’t just interrupt a Senator’s meal, y’all,” “Put your whole damn fingers in their salads. Take their apps and distribute them to the other diners. Bring boxes and take their food home with you on the way out.” Then I will claim a tenured professor at her Alma mater encouraged me to do so. After all, they are the best teaching college in the land and students should follow their lead.

You would probably get one between the eyes, you think the Blackmon's play. I got news for you.

Autistic screeching harpy vs bubba gump idiot redneck

God was she awful....embarrassing for Mississippi. However, I'm not too sure if that fat redneck Bryce Wiggins made much sense either....what a gasbag blowhard.

Race Race Race everything is Race Im almost 60 and I don't think about Race constantly. Maybe Im crazy But I really believe most of Mississippi is like Me. Just trying to Make a living feed my family and get along. If Mississippi was half as bad as Barb thinks it is I absolutely wouldn't live here If I were her. But I suspect its all a show. She is letting everyone know unless Barb gets her piece of the pie she will raise Holy XXXX. But the price she and other race Baiters have made us pay is yes race relations arent as good as they were PreObama and you can lay 99.9 % at the feet of the race baiters. Just my opinion.

Good Lord, you just explained EXACTLY how racist most of Mississippians are, including yourself. You don't even get it. Your "if you don't like it here, you can leave" comes right out of 1950s Jim Crow....which was its purpose. Mississippi doesn't belong to just dimwit yeoman who STILL think it does, only because they're white. Please wake up Sir.

The hardest thing to explain to poor whites is the glaringly evident which everybody like you has decided not to see.

I said nothing about leaving but I think the Lady doeth protest too much. I feel its all an act. What Many don't understand if Someone sells you down the river even if they are the same color they are not your friend.

It is you sir that are slow to see the entire picture. Nobody grew up poorer than my grandparents but my parents and I didnt sit around saying its not fair we werent born a Rockerfeller and Have a trust fund. You are correct even after all this time don't fit in. This is a great country with a world of opportunity turn the page and move on and quit blaming your life on Old Mississippi and its ignorant whites holding you down.

CERTIFIABLY LOONEY! She is still waiting on God to declare her the winner of the Lt. Governor’s race that she lost overwhelmingly.

Trollfest '09

Trollfest '07 was such a success that Jackson Jambalaya will once again host Trollfest '09. Catch this great event which will leave NE Jackson & Fondren in flames. Othor Cain and his band, The Black Power Structure headline the night while Sonjay Poontang returns for an encore performance. Former Frank Melton bodyguard Marcus Wright makes his premier appearance at Trollfest singing "I'm a Sweet Transvestite" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Kamikaze will sing his new hit, “How I sold out to da Man.” Robbie Bell again performs: “Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be Bells” and “Any friend of Ed Peters is a friend of mine”. After the show, Ms. Bell will autograph copies of her mug shot photos. In a salute to “Dancing with the Stars”, Ms. Bell and Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith will dance the Wango Tango.

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).

Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.

Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".

In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.

In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.

Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.

Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!

This is definitely a Beaver production.
