Mielun Butler died at the hands of his fellow inmates Friday. JPD arrested and charged Butler with murder in a homicide that took place at Rebelwood Apartments.
A video is floating around on social media showing a dying Butler. The video is graphic and disturbing. It will not be posted here but if readers want to view it, it can be seen here. You have been warned. This post will only stay up for a day or so. The video is unsearchable on Rumble. Simply horrific.

Sheriff what the fuck is going on in your jail. You got some sorry ass deputies that allow this to even happen and then filmed. You need to resign effective immediately! All Jail Deputies must be put on Administrative leave without pay. Sheriff you cannot be trusted with the care of inmates. You should be Ashamed. The Board of Supervisors ain’t shit either. Where is the public outrage.
Charges must be bought on all Deputies working in that pod during that period. Sheriff I could just shake you! How in the hell can you sleep at night?

You would think it would be illegal to have a cellphone in the jail/ prison. Where were the guards? In today’s society, they were quite probably playing on their cellphone.
As a former Deputy at that same facility I am mad as fuck. Who in the hell are you all hiring. Can they hear and see? Are they scared? Are they involved? A law suit against individual Deputies and the Department will shed light on these senseless acts and breaches of security.
My God, My God what are you all doing at that Detention Center.
Subpoena all cell phones of employees at the facility during and after that incident!
What was the Deputy Jailers doing when all this happened? Did they have headphones on? Were they blindfolded? Were they asleep? Were they on their cell phones? Were they involved?

This is more than street justice. The fact that it was video’d and made it’s was to the internet is clearly a message to somebody. I mean, you are risking a murder charge and you are going to publish a video of it?

A lot of this readership for too long have been living in Candyland, with houses built with sugar walls and roads paved with Reese cups. It's been sanitized and pretty-fied for their consumption. Wonder how many Deputies were on duty that night for 400 inmates 3 or 4 deputies! Excluding booking Deputies, the nurse, shift Sergeant and Lieutenant.

I disagree. People need to see stuff like this and understand that these ferals live among us. These animals have no respect for themselves or anyone else. That is why Jackson is so damned dangerous. It is full of these ferals and even worse...those who refuse to admit they exist or those that do nothing. Judges take note: this is what you are releasing upon us with these bullshit sentences and low bonds.
Better yet. Judges, this is what happens when you don't move your dockets and take two to three years to adjudicate cases that are done in less than 18 months in other counties.

These comments are in sharp contrast to the comments made about the victim when that post was first made. I seem to recall many saying that the victim got what was coming to him.
