There are some rumblings of alleged hazing that went too far at Jackson Preparatory School. The letter posted below was distributed to families of Jackson Prep students.
Flowood Police Chief Eric Zetterholm said no one has reported any hazing.

I have a kid at Prep. I have not seen that letter nor heard of anything going on regarding hazing at the school.
Glad there are no problems with the sororities. Sounds like the bullies have not met the right fellow yet….
This admonition cannot be worded any stronger. Pleased that the Admin at Prep have sent this "WARNING" to all of the parents. Now it is up to the parents to take charge of the situation and "handle it". Usually such rituals become out of touch with reality and the ones committing such acts are cowards, gutless and have no moral compass. Get it dealt with Parents! The Admin has spoken and actions will be taken.
"This sick, predatory process stops today."
Superfluous, gratuitous. And untrue. Millenia of natural selection proves the opposite. The strong will always rule the weak.
Finally cracking down on the Senior assassin games at most schools

Looks like Prep learned something from the JA debacle. Note the reference to, "... no family name can erase."
I have a son going into 9th grade at Prep. I have not seen that letter or heard of any incidents. If there is in fact hazing going on, that is the way to put it to bed.
That doesn't look official. Everything I have seen at JP has been distributed to on official letterhead. This is either a parent trying to stir stuff up, or another school trying to stir stuff up.
1) no official letterhead
2) they would have spelled "crossed" the line and "intersquad fraternities" correctly
3) use of the words "he and sons" and basically that whole last paragraph is not from the school and pointed towards just males
Seriously, this doesn't appear to be even close to what a professional would write to parents.
"at our school has cross the line"
"It has come to our immediate attention"
"securing them in handcuffs"
"a lifetime black mark that no family name can erase"
Come on.
Letter was wrong about kid being ruined for life. These are juries. Records are sealed.
Records are expunged.
Probably no worse that what happened at Bayou Academy.
Not a single indicia that this is from anyone at Prep. No letter head - email - logo - words - who wrote this?
Possibly an unofficial Parent association letter?
What happened at Bayou
…and that law enforcement agency would be JPD? Let the “cross” lines continue
Just a bunch of NE Jackson families that want to complain
Another Prep parent here (child going from 8th to 9th). I've not heard a word of this anywhere, either, and it is not at all in the typical form of the communications the school uses. Grammar / spelling issues, no letterhead, writing style reeks of AI, etc. I think KF got duped on this one. I'd guess it's some kind of prank or troll.
Prep is in Flowood. Please seek help for your JDS.
Lt Dan’s doing
Ill bet you $100 it was produced by a disgruntled Parent or JA parent
Prep is doomed.
“Inner squad fraternities”? I had two kids hi to Prep. Never heard this term. Never heard of this hazing or anything like this.
Is this even real?
Looks like a prop from “Old School”.
This strikes me as a prank by a teenager without a summer job.
RMQ
Hazing ? By seniors to lower classman ? Shocked !!!
The paintball/ airsoft stuff has been going on for almost two decades if not longer. Everything else in the letter sounds like the kind of stupid that has been going on for decades with nobody actually getting turned in. Is somebody going to suggest that illegal drinking goes on at the frat houses at Ole Miss and State with the full knowledge of administration next?
From what I hear, disgruntled recruit
I would bet my mortgage that something actually happened over there and some mama bear ain't having that. Given the time of year, I'm putting my money on some football team chicanery. But we all know there's only one school with culture problems. Am I right?
A recruit? At the Preparatory? So it ain't so!!!
I can tell you that wasn't written by a Prep student in the upper school...
I call bullshit
I have 2 kids there. I haven't heard a word of any of this. One is in high school and one in middle school.
Another Prep parent here (of an upperclassman) that has never seen or heard of this letter. This does not even look like Prep's usual communications.
It's coming down tomorrow
son went to prep for 6 years and graduated in 22, played 4 sports and started every year except for 10th. what i'm saying is he was slap dab in the middle of prep sports life and none of this ever happened to him or anyone he knew.
Apparently a family at another Jackson school is upset that their kid is being benched in favor of students on "scholarship", and they're now stirring the pot at a nearby school, maybe focus on your own problems and enjoy paying tuition for other peoples kids and good luck with the lower standard of education now that they have dumbed everything down just so the scholarship kids can pass.
That letter was written by a Nigerian prince. He writes me quite often so I recognize his writing style.
I'd be less worried about the possibility of my child being hazed and more worried about the education he/she might be receiving from the author of this "warning." That's pitiful.
KF, you say it's "coming down tomorrow?" Hopefully, they'll identify the author so that person can find another job outside the field of communications.
When I was in High School in the dark ages 1958 there was a Letterman’s club you could join when you lettered in football. You were stripped naked, went through a belt line, sat on a block of ice then paddled, swallowed an oyster on a string and it was pulled out, a couple of more indecent activities then given a towel and your shoes blindfolded and dropped off in the boonies, our group was taken across the swinging bridge in Byram and let out. I knew where we were by the sound of crossing the bridge. So much fun? The next two years you got to be on the other side. I never really got into abusing other guys.
“And most recently of all, a "Roman Toga Party" was held from which we have received more than two dozen reports of individual acts of perversion SO profound and disgusting that decorum prohibits listing them here.”
Prep football parent: Haven’t seen anything about this letter. Probably some rival school trying to get even their name.
You better take it down
Is this letter official? If so, refunds need to be issued for grammatical errors 😫.
Completely unambiguous? I have never heard that word used. How about let us be clear! Less wordy.
If we want that 2022 championship mentality back we have to toughen the boys up! #goatem
Would be a shame for an MAIS wide tradition to come to an end at such a pivotal time for the league. - extremely worried Jackson Academy parent
Made by angry recruit rising to the 11th grade… from what I hear, east of Prep!
3:44, we are not going to sit here and let you badmouth the United States of America!
When I played football our coach would spank our bare hiny with his hands until our cheeks were red!
