It has been a jps school for a while now. How can they improve losing their best and their brightest while having their funding stolen from JPS and given to the greedy for profit Charters?

Could it be the SPLC was full of it, and that their lawsuit was drafted by the child of a public education lobbyist pulling six figures? Talk about cost savings, especially at the elementary school level, if they could reduce the number of schools by a third.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447438783001404385.post-27824536769575580432019-09-23T13:35:24.666-05:002019-09-23T13:35:24.666-05:00This is good news and JPS should be commended. This is good news and JPS should be commended.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447438783001404385.post-23501884954591679932019-09-23T13:09:03.670-05:002019-09-23T13:09:03.670-05:00Forest Hill isn't JPSD?Forest Hill isn't JPSD?Paul Mitchellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07825674914008378242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447438783001404385.post-28413130181852499172019-09-23T12:16:34.282-05:002019-09-23T12:16:34.282-05:00Even a blind squirrel occasionally finds an acorn....Even a blind squirrel occasionally finds an acorn.Cynical Samnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447438783001404385.post-40767262124746206552019-09-23T11:18:52.936-05:002019-09-23T11:18:52.936-05:00JPS.......Abandon hope all ye who enter here.JPS.......Abandon hope all ye who enter here.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447438783001404385.post-37179103352299299252019-09-23T10:58:22.460-05:002019-09-23T10:58:22.460-05:00You want everyone to do better, but it's a mor...You want everyone to do better, but it's a more promising sign that the elementary schools show significant progress rather than high schools.
Elementary kids represent the future and have got many years to develop good work habits and become solid students, the high schoolers don't. Once kids get to middle school they are much harder to reach or reform. I would have been suspicious if failing high schools reform faster than elementary schools. JPS should build on this trend. Don't let the elementary kids backslide. In five years they should aim to be a B district. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
