It occurred under Ditto and took a great deal of time a few years later to reconcile those years' data to conform to standard practice in use in Mississippi.

I would like to point out an error in the letter from JPD: Second paragraph "Further investigation of the officer resulted in over 2lbs. of marijuana" should have been "Further investigation BY the officer..."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447438783001404385.post-11630430524728479852016-02-10T10:34:00.700-06:002016-02-10T10:34:00.700-06:00People have short or selective memories. That was when Jackson reported a decrease in crime. Wasn't really any decrease but the stats showed it was which is the reason for the new way of reporting.
People need to notice what is happening right under their nose. The point was that Madison and Rankin counties don't report like JPD does. They aren't required to do that. Reporting according to FBI standards is a choice.

The point is that if you don't create a case file of a crime or investigate it, you can pretend there is no crime. And, as an officer in a homeowner's association in one of those counties, coming out but not taking a report but simply attempting to convince the victim that it's hopeless and a waste of time to pursue is far too common.

You can't have drug dealers operating in a county and also claim to have that county be relatively crime free especially when there is a multi-million dollar heroin bust!

If you believe there are no Rankin or Madison kids and adults using drugs and stealing things to support their habits and if you believe they go to west Jackson to buy their drugs, you need to get your head out of the sand!
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447438783001404385.post-67249957969993837082016-02-09T09:57:39.291-06:002016-02-09T09:57:39.291-06:00You funny.
