That...I agree with all of the comments thru 11:51.<br /><br />That being said, I grew up in Jackson, and have lived here all of my life. Do y'all remember when Jackson was actually a pretty good place to live? I'm not going to claim it was outstanding, but the city was nice, and the people were the best you'd find anywhere on the plane! So.....why does Jackson's current majority not want that any more? I just can't figure out why you don't hear any real complaints from that segment. Do they not hate driving on the virtual gravel roads in the city? Do they not get tired of being constantly in fear of being burglarized or raped or robbed or killed? Do they not care that it won't be long before they have NO tax base to take care of the city?<br /><br />While I commend those who are trying to revitalize areas like Belhaven and Fondren, do those people not realize it's only a matter of time to where those business will have to leave that area, in much the same way they had to leave south and west Jackson? My hat's off to those people, but I can sure say I'm glad I'm not one with a financial stake in those areas!<br /><br />It's just a shame that an entire City has no perceivable future.
