The Queen and the Bagboy went at it last night in a debate at Madison Central High School. You can read my live notes of the debate on Twitter @Kingfish1935 . Here are some videos from the debate in chronological order. I'm going to post the complete video later today. I thought you might like these clips from the first half hour of the debate, as the complete video is nearly two hours long. It's entertaining. Pour a drink or espresso and enjoy.

I will be posting live updates from Madison debate on twitter @Kingfish1935. I will post video later. If anyone tapes the Canton debate I will post it.
Titan CEO Maurice Taylor expounds on his dealings with the French in this interview. Mr. Taylor tried to purchase a Goodyear tire plant in France. The French unions then informed him he did not understand the "French way" as they work three hours, talk for three, take a break for one, then a lunch break for another hour, and so on.

A series of default judgements were entered against Mississippi Products, Inc. Jackson Mayoral candidate Jonathan Lee was president of the company. Jean Lee, the mother of Mr. Lee, was president of the company at that time and remains in that position, although it is not clear when she became President. Corporate filings at the Secretary of State indicate Mr. Lee was president in 2012 and his mother assumed leadership of the company, although no documents stating a change of leadership were submitted.

Saw this nine-month old video while posting the fight video yesterday. Its entertaining. Maybe I should make this a Saturday night feature on JJ. Sort of a Saturday Night at the Fights: JJ version made up of fight videos shot around the state.

The government dropped its case against Paul Curtis in U.S. District Court today. Mr. Curtis was charged with sending ricin-filled letters to Senator Roger Wicker and President Obama. The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal has a great timeline of today's events you can read here. You can't make this stuff up. Just can't.

Attorney Billy Quinn sued BP on behalf of the Mississippi Attorney General last Thursday in U.S. District Court. Mr. Quinn formerly worked at Joey Langston's law firm. Nice to see Jimmy keep it all in the family despite what might have happened in the past. Here is the lawsuit.
Dick Molpus, the leader of Parents for Public Schools, the Parent's Campaign, and against all things charter, probably even Old Charter, has an interesting family. Here is this engagement announcement from several years ago in the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal:

Here are some more pictures from Paris. A few leftover pics from the Louvre and a few from Versailles. Pictures cannot begin to do that place justice. I will post more tomorrow. It was just breathtaking to walk through those halls and see masterpiece after masterpiece. I apologize for the poor quality of the photos. I'm a pretty bad photographer and took all these photos on a Blackberry Z10. Enjoy.

So if you live in Vicksburg, who do you vote for? The crook (alleged), the ex-hooker (what else can you say she calls herself a working girl), or the Politician? Although it could be argued a politician is all of the above? You can't make this up. The Clarion-Ledger reported:

Detective Eric Smith was killed in the line of duty. This Memorial concert is to celebrate his life and to help raise money for his family left behind. There will be bands, DJs, food, dunking booths, balloon jumps for the kids and many other activities. As a community, we must come together and show gratitude for his service, and to the hard working men and women who protect us with their lives. Click here for more information

Got the new Blackberry Z10 last Friday. I was one of the last holdouts. I was waiting for the new Q10 to come out but this hunk of junk called the Torch decided to start looking at gravesites. The enemy doesn't always cooperate. Having said that, the Z10 is a pretty cool phone. Here is my totally unprofessional unexpert review based on using it for a weekend.
Amile Wilson took these photos of Mynelle Gardens in bloom over the weekend. We tried to do this last year but the weather didn't cooperate as the day before the shoot, a nasty storm blew threw Jackson and knocked off all the blooms. Amile said the light was a little harsh but we hope you enjoy these pics. More will be posted this week.

You know the type. Their children can't ride bikes to school two blocks away. Might get run over or kidnapped. Can't go to the playground at the park because a creep might be there. Has to do the homework for little Johnny because she wants him to go to Harvard one day. Threatens the school with a lawsuit if junior gets caught cheating. Child has self-esteem issues so he has to be protected. Then there are the ones that go to professional job interviews with their kids. Teacher told me how one was kicked out of an ACT test when she tried to take the test with her child. I kid you not. Meanwhile, a recent study confirmed earlier ones in finding "helicopter moms" are bad for their kids development and leave them ill-equipped to deal with life. The Daily Mail(UK) reports:

Apparently some people are accusing me of posting the name of the JPD detective killed today at JPD headquarters before the family was notified. I will attempt to put those doubts to rest right now. A very reliable source provided his identity. I was told the family had been notified. I have since learned his family members either worked for JPD or were retired from JPD. I made the decision to publish the identity. There is NO WAY IN HELL I would have published his name if I thought for one second the family had not been notified. PERIOD!!!

If you are absolutely bored and have absolutely nothing to do, here is the video of the forum for the Jackson mayoral candidates last night from start to finish. I'll post excerpts in the next few days but here is the unedited raw video. Enjoy. ;-)
Went to the a forum at the Jackson Medical Mall last night for the Jackson mayoral candidates. More will be posted later but here is a sneak preview at the um, Hemp candidate. All she could talk about was hemp and when she wasn't talking about hemp, she was talking about meditation. See for yourself.

Governor Phil Bryant withdrew the nomination of Terri Herring to the State Board of Health yesterday.
The nomination of Ms. Herring drew no small amount of controversy as she has been a staunch pro-life advocate and supporter of the failed personhood amendment. The Governor withdrew her nomination yesterday after questions were raised about whether she lived in the proper district. Section 41-3-1 of the Mississippi Code states:

Wrestling returns, except this time it will be a Battle Royal with Othor Cain, Ben Allen, Kim Wade, Haley Fisackerly, Alan Lange, and “Big Cat” Donna Ladd all in the ring at the same time. The Battle Royal will be in a steel cage, no time limit, no referee, and the losers must leave town. Marshand Crisler will be the honorary referee (as it gives him a title without actually having to do anything).
Meet KIM Waaaaaade at the Entergy Tent. For five pesos, Kim will sell you a chance to win a deed to a crack house on Ridgeway Street stuffed in the Howard Industries pinata. Don't worry if the pinata is beaten to shreds, as Mr. Wade has Jose, Emmanuel, and Carlos, all illegal immigrants, available as replacements for the it. Upon leaving the Entergy tent, fig leaves will be available in case Entergy literally takes everything you have as part of its Trollfest ticket price adjustment charge.
Donna Ladd of The Jackson Free Press will give several classes on learning how to write. Smearing, writing without factchecking, and reporting only one side of a story will be covered. A donation to pay their taxes will be accepted and she will be signing copies of their former federal tax liens. Ms. Ladd will give a dramatic reading of her two award-winning essays (They received The Jackson Free Press "Best Of" awards.) "Why everything is always about me" and "Why I cover murders better than anyone else in Jackson".
In the spirit of helping those who are less fortunate, Trollfest '09 adopts a cause for which a portion of the proceeds and donations will be donated: Keeping Frank Melton in his home. The “Keep Frank Melton From Being Homeless” booth will sell chances for five dollars to pin the tail on the jackass. John Reeves has graciously volunteered to be the jackass for this honorable excursion into saving Frank's ass. What's an ass between two friends after all? If Mr. Reeves is unable to um, perform, Speaker Billy McCoy has also volunteered as when the word “jackass” was mentioned he immediately ran as fast as he could to sign up.
In order to help clean up the legal profession, Adam Kilgore of the Mississippi Bar will be giving away free, round-trip plane tickets to the North Pole where they keep their bar complaint forms (which are NOT available online). If you don't want to go to the North Pole, you can enjoy Brant Brantley's (of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance) free guided tours of the quicksand field over by High Street where all complaints against judges disappear. If for some reason you are unable to control yourself, never fear; Judge Houston Patton will operate his jail where no lawyers are needed or allowed as you just sit there for minutes... hours.... months...years until he decides he is tired of you sitting in his jail. Do not think Judge Patton is a bad judge however as he plans to serve free Mad Dog 20/20 to all inmates.
Trollfest '09 is a pet-friendly event as well. Feel free to bring your dog with you and do not worry if your pet gets hungry, as employees of the Jackson Zoo will be on hand to provide some of their animals as food when it gets to be feeding time for your little loved one.
Relax at the Fox News Tent. Since there are only three blonde reporters in Jackson (being blonde is a requirement for working at Fox News), Megan and Kathryn from WAPT and Wendy from WLBT will be on loan to Fox. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both and a torn-up Obama yard sign will entitle you to free drinks served by Megan, Wendy, and Kathryn. Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required. Just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '09 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.
Note: Security provided by INS.
There will be a hugging booth where in exchange for your young son, Frank Melton will give you a loooong hug. Trollfest will have a dunking booth where Muhammed the terrorist will curse you to Allah as you try to hit a target that will drop him into a vat of pig grease. However, in the true spirit of Separate But Equal, Don Imus and someone from NE Jackson will also sit in the dunking booth for an equal amount of time. Tom Head will give a reading for two hours on why he can't figure out who the hell he is. Cliff Cargill will give lessons with his .80 caliber desert eagle, using Frank Melton photos as targets. Tackleberry will be on hand for an autograph session. KIM Waaaaaade will be passing out free titles and deeds to crackhouses formerly owned by The Wood Street Players.
If you get tired come relax at the Fox News Tent. To gain admittance to the VIP section, bring either your Republican Party ID card or a Rebel Flag. Bringing both will entitle you to free drinks.Get your tickets now. Since this is an event for trolls, no ID is required, just bring the hate. Bring the family, Trollfest '07 is for EVERYONE!!!
This is definitely a Beaver production.
